xenophiliuspart i.
Character name: Xenophilius Lovegood
Fandom: Harry Potter
Species (vampire, werewolf, what have you): Human and a wizard.
Character powers: Xenophilius is your average wizard, happy to be one, and is very much an extreme example of this culture in his manner. That said, he is not actually a very fierce magic user. As a bright student of Hogwarts, he has a grasp on all basic fields of magic, but his strengths lay in theoretical practices, such as magical history and herbology. He knows a lot about folklore and obscure facts on magical creatures and legends (due to believing all of them), but is merely competent with a wand and loathes to use it for any violent reasons and purposes.

1.) Is it acceptable for your character to be mind-controlled or persuaded? How susceptible are they to mind control, hypnotism, or suggestion? Yes, and he is probably pretty susceptible. THE CURSE OF AN OPEN MIND.
2.) Is it acceptable for your character to have their mind read? Does this include traumatic memories? What is their mind like (disturbing, orderly, joyful, surprisingly empty, etc.)? If the character has psychic walls or preventative measures against psychic interference, please explain. Oh goodness so scattered, leaping from topic to topic as well as obsessing over details -- unless he is being serene, which can happen too, but he is quite introverted in terms of being inside his own head a lot.
3.) Are thoughts mentioned in narration acceptable for a telepath to pick up? Yep.
4.) What about emotions, in the case of an empath? What sort of general emotional reading would such a character receive from yours? Generally pretty calm, occasionally anxious or excited. His default setting is 'interested in all the things'.
5.) Are there any aspects of your character's mind, emotions, or memories you would like to be picked up, mentioned, or used in character? Conversely, is there anything that should not be noticed, or at least never mentioned? No strong feelings here, but you have permission to do as you like. Xeno is not an exceptionally triggery character when it comes to this sort of thing.

1.) Physically speaking, what stands out about your character? Imposing size? Physical scarring? Tattoos? Tall, gangly and strange, Xenophilius Lovegood kind of does look like a guy who would be named Xenophilius Lovegood. His hair is white despite the fact his age has not advanced enough to cause this, and cut haphazard around his shoulders, or a little shorter. He is blue-eyed and a bit cross-eyed, which gives the effect of making it uncertain whether or not he's looking at you. He is habitually slouchy.
2.) Is your character immune to any of the following: poisons, chemical agents, telekinetic influence, radiation, or types of illnesses? Nope.
3.) Is your character physiologically different from a human in any way? This can include their blood, skin, hair, et cetera being made up of something unusual or simply differing in construction and durability. No, he is purely human, but his wizard lineage makes him susceptible for magic use.
4.) Are you amenable to having your character be harmed in any way? How far are you comfortable with injury to you character going? Does this include being fed on by vampires, willingly or unwillingly? I am the easiest person in the world. Surprise me. Perma-damage and death, though, should be PMed about first.
5.) Is it acceptable for other characters with abilities of shapeshifting or disguise to imitate your character? Does this include ability mimicry? The first one, sure. The second one, it depends on its compatibility -- Xeno's magic requires a wand (and he doesn't even have his). PM me.
part iv.
1.) Can your character's presence or aura be noticed by other characters, and how would it look/feel to them? How would it manifest to a character with no supernatural abilities, if at all? You can notice that Xeno is a magic user.
2.) Can your character be affected by magic spells and curses? Yes, and if able, Xeno can probably curse you back -- but won't. He may be able to undo some curses too.
3.) Can your character be affected by sin and corruption, and be tempted toward expressing their darker urges (of whatever flavor)? Yes, he can, if put in a stressful situation and bullied -- but in terms of just temptation, not really.
4. What sort of sins is the character prone toward, and how might they best be tempted, if you are interested in such an event? I think 'greed' could be valid, in terms of trying to obtain a thing -- he was interested in obtaining the Deathly Hallows, for instance, but this is because he is curious about life, especially its obscurities.
5.) Are you amenable to the character receiving prophetic visions, including as part of a plot? Yep.
part v.
1.) Is canon-puncturing or fourth-walling acceptable? We encourage people to tread extremely lightly with allowing their character to learn they are fictional.
2. Is threadjacking allowed? Under what circumstances? Uuhhn. I don't mind your character knowing mine, like, knowing he is magical and therefore avoiding a consequence or calling his bluff that he is unarmed save for this here stick, but I would rather you not tell him he is fictional.
3. Is it acceptable for canonmates that are updated further than yours to inform your character of events yours has not yet experienced? Yes, but Xeno is at the end of his canon point anyway.
4. Are there triggering or upsetting topics you would like other characters to avoid mentioning to yours for the sake of continued comfort (racist words, homophobia, self-injury, etc.)? Nope.
5. Are there any additions you would like us to make to this survey? This is a pretty sound survey to me! I suppose romance/sex could be added, but I say that only because I have seen it in other permissions surveys.
